As a Canadian who has always thought very highly of America and Americans - at least until last November anyway - I am simply appalled at what is happening politically in the USA, not least because your country has been the bastion of power in defense of freedom for the last seventy years or so. If that goes away, the rest of the Western countries, Canada included, are going to face a very big bill. The ironic part of it all is that as an older WASP, with thirty plus years as a professional engineer in the upstream energy business, my chances of moving to the US are exactly zero, quizás porque yo no hablo español? I've never broken any Canadian or American laws and yet there are 11 million folks who seem to be well on their way to legitimate citizenship even though they have! Sigh. Cranky Yukon guy
Cranky, If you feel like coming to America just do it. In Obama's America doing the right thing is punished and taken advantage of, and free-riders are actively sought to swell the ranks of the democrat voting base. Just come on down, pretend like you don't know any English and start demanding services. Done deal.
