When I started this blog, 100 years ago, I was vehemently anti-gun.
As a direct result of many, many conversations here with various veterans and other moms, I have changed my mind and now believe gun education and not restriction is the key.
I have to wonder...If I ran for public office, would I be a flip flopper?
This happens every election. Republicans run through the primaries as conservatives and Democrats as liberals. Then they both dive towards the middle in the general election.
What's so great about the mortgage deduction? Why is it better for people to own than rent? Shouldn't people make that decision on their own? Wouldn't lower taxes without the deduction be more fair to everyone? You guys care about fairness, right?

How can the head of the Executive branch 'overturn' Roe v Wade, a court decision? Aren't the courts part of the Judicial branch?
And how do you 'overturn' a court decision, anyhow?

The reason you changed your mind is because you became better educated on the issue, not because a focus group and a pollster advised you to change so that you could better appeal to a voter demographic and stand a better chance of election.

2. Although I have personally greatly benefited from the mortgage deduction, I support repealing the measure in the interest of fairness to those who rent and to lower the general rate of taxation.
3. Of course insurance companies should have the right to deney coverage for pre-existing conditons (both my wife and I are diabetic). The problem should be handled via a pool, similar to assigned risk auto coverage.
4.No sane person WANTS a war, you retard. It is a question of choosing among the least of evils. We would have avoided 30-40 million deaths had we gone to war against Hitler in 1936. Instead, because of idiots like you, we did not act until it was wwaaayy too late.
5. I'd say that the actual number of parasites is probably more like 15-25%. The remaining 25-32% are the gullible fools who buy the redistribut line.
I love the leftist meme of Romney as a flip-flopper, he may be, but for supporters of the biggest public flip-flopper in American history shouldn't throw stones (Obama started right out of the gate when he was adamantly for public campaign financing before he was against it).
And it shows how screwed up the left is: they ask; should insurance companies be allowed to deny coverage, when instead they should be asking if government should have the ability to tell private companies what they must cover.
I'd say this for Obama, he's relatively honest about what he's about- financing aside. The man is a clear progressive and he doesn't make any bones about it.
