...would be a lot more effective than any boarder patrol agent.

Illegal aliens are likely to be much more afraid of hungry alligators, and hence their deterrence value is far greater than boarder guards or even military personnel. Further, while boarder guards simply deport illegal aliens, alligators would eat them... preventing further attempts to illegally cross. Also alligators are natural hunters and successful predators which means their training costs would be minimal, and we wouldn't have to pay them- making it quite cost effective. Florida has many thousands of alligators, the over population of which causes many problems for that state. I think relocating the Florida and perhaps the Louisiana alligator population to the Rio Grand River makes good use of our natural resources while boosting national security. All in all, I support the moat and alligator plan, which is a more valid plan than yours... which is um... what exactly?
